A Bathing Ape Bape Sta 1
Smooth black leather and a star with a lightning bolt on the side. Women's sneakers Bape Sta 1 from A Bathing Ape speak the language of Tokyo streetwear without needing to shout. If you love outfits that feel relaxed yet thoughtful, these sneakers will fit right in without a second thought. The all-black design is understated at first glance and striking upon closer inspection, making them just as natural to wear with baggy jeans as with a skirt or cargo pants.
The silhouette is based on a classic basketball sneaker. The low cut keeps the ankle free and gives the shoe a clean line. The leather upper retains its shape and will nicely adapt to your foot over time, while the rubber sole ensures reliable grip on pavement and in the subway, whether you're heading to a café, an exhibition, or just strolling around the city. The package also includes a fabric bag for safely storing or carrying your sneakers, plus extra laces for a style switch-up. A Bathing Ape was founded in 1993 by designer Nigo in the Harajuku district of Tokyo, gaining fame for its camouflage pattern, the monkey head logo, and the Bape Sta model, which made it a sought-after name among sneaker collectors.
