Despite its French name, Comme des Garçons PLAY is a brand of Japanese origin. Its founder, Rai Kawakubo, a woman of infinite creativity and ingenuity, began creating smaller sub-brands within the company shortly after the launch of CDG, to make the wide range of products more transparent.
