adidas Taekwondo Mei Ballet
What if your next women's sneakers looked like ballet flats, like the adidas Taekwondo Mei Ballet in warm brown? They combine the delicate feminine line of ballet flats with the comfort of sneakers, so you can wear them from morning to night without worrying about sore feet at the end of the day. The low profile and clean shape make them easy to pair with a skirt just as effortlessly as with wide trousers.
The smooth leather upper looks refined and gradually adapts to the shape of your foot with wear. The brown tone is earthy and understated, making it suitable for neutral colors as well as bolder pieces. Underfoot, you have a rubber outsole that grips both pavement and tiles, giving the sneakers a slightly retro look. Laces are included. Pair them with straight jeans, a midi skirt, or white socks to enhance that sporty vibe. The Taekwondo silhouette is inspired by archival footwear developed by adidas for martial arts training, and adidas Originals brings it into today's fashion. The adidas Originals line is rooted in the heritage of the German brand founded by Adi Dassler, and it loves to bring back models from its own archive.
adidas Taekwondo
From martial arts to the top of fashion trends - adidas Taekwondo
The adidas Taekwondo model represents a unique fusion of sporting discipline and minimalist design that is currently defining global streetwear. This silhouette was originally designed as a specialised shoe for martial arts, where lightness, contact with the ground and maximum flexibility are key. However, with the advent of the "slim sneaker" trend and the popularity of aesthetics such as "balletcore" or "blockette", adidas Taekwondo has moved from gyms straight onto catwalks and into the wardrobes of fashion icons. They are the perfect alternative for those looking for something softer and sleeker than the classic chunky sneaker.
Minimalist design and premium leather
What makes the adidas Taekwondo an exceptional piece is their radically low profile and clean lines. The upper is made from ultra-soft premium leather that conforms to the foot like a second skin, while the absence of laces on the slip-on versions accentuates their aerodynamic look. A distinctive feature is the extremely thin rubber sole, which ensures natural movement and feel in the foot. The iconic three stripes and subtle branding on the side add a touch of luxury to the shoe. This silhouette is proof that functional sports design can be an incredibly sophisticated fashion accessory.
High-end design inspired by tradition
adidas Taekwondo draws inspiration from archival models from the early millennium that were popular for their simplicity and efficiency ? Today's version capitalizes on the wave of popularity of models like the Japan or Mexico 66, but brings an even more radical minimalism. Thanks to their slim shape, these sneakers look absolutely great paired with wide baggy trousers for an interesting contrast of proportions, or with skirts and dresses for a modern feminine look. It's a shoe for those who want to define trends, not just follow them.

adidas Originals are not just sneakers but an entire culture that has developed around them. Ever since the brand with the iconic three stripes appeared on the scene, it has shaped the sports world as well as streetwear and pop culture. The history of adidas dates back to 1949, when Adi Dassler laid the foundations for the brand that is now one of the absolute top brands. The adidas Originals segment was created as a tribute to the iconic models of the past. It revives classic silhouettes and adds modern elements to them. It keeps the legacy of sports and urban fashion alive and relevant.
The most famous models include the immortal Superstar, favoured by members of the hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. in the 1980s, or the minimalist Stan Smith, named after the legendary tennis player. If you're looking for something more futuristic, the adidas NMD or Ozweego are great choices. The common denominator of all models is quality materials and technologies like Boost or Primeknit. And of course, timeless designs that never get old.
Over decades of existence, adidas Originals sneakers have won fans among celebrities, athletes and artists. They are worn by Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and skater Nora Vasconcellos. The brand regularly collaborates with leading designers and other brands. Collaborations with Yeezy, Prada or Beyoncé' s Ivy Park clearly prove that Originals models are not afraid to constantly push the boundaries of fashion.
Whether you're looking for something for everyday wear, to pump up the sporty vibe or simply retro classics, this brand always has something that will get you going. Atdy certainly doesn't skimp on comfort, quality and style. Choose your pair at Footshop and be part of a legend.
