A Bathing Ape Bape Sta 2-1 M2

Smooth leather in deep black gives the sneakers A Bathing Ape Bape Sta 2-1 M2 a clean and confident look that catches your eye right out of the box. The all-black leather upper feels polished while maintaining the streetwear energy that attracts both collectors and those simply looking for a solid pair. You'll throw them on when you want to build an outfit around a standout piece and keep the rest low-key.

The low cut mirrors the silhouette of a classic basketball sneaker, and the rubber outsole provides reliable traction on the sidewalk, in the tram, and on city pavement. The leather will gradually adapt to your foot with wear, and the black color conceals minor signs of everyday use. Inside the box, you'll find laces, a lace lock, and a fabric pouch to stash your kicks for travel. Pair them with loose jeans or cargo pants and a wide tee, but they also work well with dark chinos and a simple shirt. The brand was founded in 1993 by designer Nigo in the Harajuku district of Tokyo. The camo with the monkey head and the star with a lightning bolt on the side of these sneakers are essential symbols of Japanese streetwear.

Materials

UpperLeatherLeatherNatural leather is a traditional material resulting from the tanning process of animal hides and skins, which occupies a key position in the footwear and haberdashery industry due to its mechanical resistance, breathability and aesthetic value. The specific reticular structure of the collagen fibres allows the material to adapt to the user's anatomy, resulting in optimum wearing comfort. As a hygroscopic material, the leather naturally regulates moisture and ensures air circulation. The appearance and functional properties, such as the degree of water repellency or texture, are defined by the specific type of technological processing, which include smooth finishes, suede or nubuck.
SoleRubberRubberThe rubber sole is a traditional and highly reliable element in the construction of footwear, valued especially for its extreme mechanical resistance and grip. This contact layer is made of natural or synthetic rubber, which is characterized by its high density and elasticity. Due to its physical properties, it provides excellent traction on a wide range of surfaces, from smooth asphalt to unpaved terrain. In addition, the rubber is naturally waterproof and resistant to temperature fluctuations, ensuring stability and a secure stride in a variety of climatic conditions.
