Converse Chuck 70
Slip on the high-top sneakers Chuck 70 from Converse in the Sand/Chocolate colorway and give even a simple outfit a genuine vintage touch. This model returns to the look of sneakers from the '70s, and you'll notice it at first glance. The warm sandy tone is complemented by chocolate details that pair perfectly with blue jeans, beige chinos, or shorts. You can wear them all day in the city, at work, or out with friends, and they always look like a well-thought-out choice, not a coincidence.
The upper is made from sturdy fabric that maintains its shape and comfortably adapts to your foot over time. The high ankle silhouette provides support, and you can let your pants fall freely over them or roll them up to highlight the entire shoe. Compared to classic All Stars, the Chuck 70 features traditionally thicker canvas, a higher glossy trim, and a better-cushioned insole, so you'll appreciate the comfort even after a long day on your feet. The rubber outsole grips well on the pavement and can handle plenty of miles. The unisex fit makes them sneakers for anyone who appreciates classic style with character. Converse was founded in 1908 in Massachusetts, USA, and its star-studded sneakers have transitioned over the decades from basketball courts to skateparks, concerts, and everyday life.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70s: An archival reconstruction of an icon, premium canvas, and authentic craftsmanship from the '70s
Silhouette Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70s (shortened to Chuck 70) is a cornerstone of premium archival footwear in Footshop's selection. Unlike the standard, mass-produced version of the All Star Classic, the Chuck 70 model is a precise material and construction reconstruction of the sneaker as it was made during its peak basketball and subcultural glory in the '70s. The result is significantly sturdier cotton canvas, a higher glossy rubber foxing in the characteristic yellowed vintage shade of egret, and a cushioning insole that elevates comfort from a basic canvas shoe to a fully functional all-day urban sneaker.
The story and archive: The difference between mass production and the architecture of Chuck 70
The story of the Chuck 70 model is a return to the roots of authentic craftsmanship, which has been gradually optimized over decades at the expense of costs:
- The gold standard of the basketball era (70s): In the '70s, Converse sneakers were the most popular footwear on NBA courts. To withstand brutal loads, sharp direction changes, and the weight of players at the time, they featured reinforced seam construction and heavy-duty canvas.
- Archival return (2013): In 2013, Converse decided to return to original manufacturing specifications. The Chuck 70 model was created as a tribute to this era – preserving original proportions, a narrower silhouette, prominent stitching on the sides, and historical details.
- Canvas for the most influential collaborations: The Chuck 70 model (and not the standard Classic) is the sought-after choice for leading global fashion collaborations – from deconstructed projects by Comme des Garçons Play to visions by Rick Owens (DRKSHDW) and interpretations by Tyler, The Creator (Golf Le Fleur) or A-COLD-WALL*.
Construction architecture and key differences from the basic version
The Converse Chuck 70 model impresses with its combination of top-quality materials and construction details:
- Heavy cotton canvas weighing 12 oz (340 g): The upper is made from organic, extra-strong cotton canvas. It maintains the shoe's shape well, does not sag, and shows significantly higher resistance to abrasion and tearing.
- Reinforced cross-side stitching (Player’s Stitching): The characteristic arched seam on both the inner and outer sides of the shoe reinforces the stressed flex zone at the toe, where standard canvas shoes most often come apart.
- Raised and lacquered rubber foxing in Egret: The rubber trim is about 5 mm higher than the standard version, offering a subtle vintage shine and authentic ivory shade. It effectively protects the canvas from urban dirt and puddles.
- Anatomical OrthoLite® insole: A hidden technological upgrade. The foam insole absorbs hard impacts on the heel, provides real arch support, and ensures that your feet won't hurt even after a whole day spent on the streets.
- Black vintage heel patch and detailed embroidery: On the heel, you’ll find the historic black logo with three white stars from 1970, and on the high-top version, there’s a side patch made from sturdy fabric with embossed details instead of cheap printing.
- Compact rubber toe cap and cotton laces: Smaller, more compact rubber cap and premium flat laces made from quality cotton complete the unmistakable retro profile.
Available variants and profiles of the Chuck 70 silhouette
In Footshop's offer, you'll find the Chuck 70 model in both basic iconic cuts:
- Chuck 70 High: The high-top profile offers maximum ankle support, a historical Chuck Taylor textile patch, and an unmistakable vintage silhouette that serves as the focal point of any fit.
- Chuck 70 Ox (Low): The low version for those, who prefer freedom around the ankles, a more relaxed cut, and maximum versatility for the warmer months.
Who is the Converse Chuck 70 model for?
- Lovers of authentic vintage craftsmanship and details: You’ll appreciate the historical fidelity, premium fabric weight, and details, that you won't find in standard fast-fashion sneakers.
- Fans of timeless minimalism and workwear: The model perfectly complements selvedge denim, loose chinos, military tops, and more formal jackets.
- Customers requiring durability and real comfort: A crucial choice for anyone, who loves the look of Converse sneakers, but needs the soft step of the OrthoLite insole and a shoe that will withstand years of hard use.

Las de siempre como nunca. ¡bravo!

Converse sneakers, Converse sneakers, Converse capes or simply Converse sneakers - you can call them whatever you like. The important thing is that this brand came on the market in 1908 as the Converse Rubber Shoe Company, which makes Converse shoes one of the sneakers with the longest and from many angles the richest history.
A century of Converse and the birth of Chuck Taylor
The great Converse sneaker boom was helped by a man whose name is far from unknown today, at least to those who wear Converse. His name was Chuck Taylor. He was a basketball player who came into the store at the time saying that his sneakers were making his feet sore. Little did he know how much of an impact Converse shoes would have in the future. In fact, over time, he made a deal with the brand to become an ambassador. He was instrumental in modernizing the classic Converse high top silhouette, which was given the name of Taylor himself in 1932. Thus, the Converse Chuck Taylor sneaker was born.
A major change in production hit Converse shoes with the advent of World War II. The company began to orientits production towards the militaryinstead of the public . Converse sneakers were transformed into durable Converse sneakers for soldiers, and a range of other equipment including protective clothing was added to the range. After the war, production went back to normal and the traditional Converse capes were once again on their way to their happy customers.
Converse and basketball
It will come as a surprise to many Chuck Taylor fans that this was originally a shoe designed primarily for basketball players. And indeed, for a long time Conversky held its place as the most popular shoe of basketball players. Over time, the Chuck Taylor model has already been replaced on the playing field by its successors, but Converse shoes still enjoyed popularity. Even the legendary Michael Jordanwore them .
With the strong emergence of competition towards the end of the 20th century, Converse sneakers began to disappear from the space between the two baskets. On the other hand, they experienced a big boom among rockers and the punk subculture, but even these communities couldn't prevent the downfall that was imminent for Converse shoes. But Nikecame to the rescue of the drowning legend, buying the company and pulling Converse out of the bottom.
