ABZORB®: New Balance's ABZORB technology combines special foam cushioning with a compression structure, so it effectively absorbs shock while maintaining stability when stepped on. The material quickly returns to its original shape, evenly distributing pressure underfoot and helping to protect knees and ankles during everyday wear and longer runs. In the midsole, this ensures a soft but sure stride without unnecessary cushioning.
FuelCell: New Balance performance cushioning foam in the midsole, designed for high energy return and nimble rebound. It's a nitrogen (nitrogen) infused/supercritically expanded foam that compresses and quickly "shoots" back out when you step, making the stride feel lively and helping propel the runner forward.
