Asics Gel-Kayano 14
The Asics Gel-Kayano 14 sneakers debuted on the shelves back in 2008. That same year, they won the Shoe of the Yearaward from the leading running magazine Runner's World. Behind the 14th model of the legendary Gel-Kayano series is Hidenori Yamashita, for whom the shoe is a reference to lightning, a symbol of explosive action.

Upper

Footbed
OrthoLite®: It is the world standard in shoe insoles, combining a specific polyurethane foam with open-cell technology. Unlike conventional insoles, OrthoLite® does not collapse over time - it retains more than 95% of its original cushioning and shape. Its breathability allows air to circulate directly around the foot, effectively wicking away moisture and keeping the shoe cooler. Plus, it contains an antimicrobial treatment that fights bacteria and odor. It's a lightweight, eco-friendly (contains recycled rubber) and highly comfortable layer that you'll find in quality running, outdoor and urban footwear.
Midsole
GEL™: ASICS' GEL™ technology uses a special cushioning gel that effectively absorbs shock for a softer, more stable impact with every step. Gel inserts are strategically placed in the heel or forefoot where they help reduce stress on joints and muscles the most. As a result, they provide significantly increased comfort, facilitating a smooth transition between each phase of the stride and helping to maintain comfort even during longer running workouts or everyday wear.
TRUSSTIC™: Increases the stability of the shoe thanks to a lightweight, tightly integrated element in the arch area. This prevents unwanted twisting of the sole, improves foot guidance and adds confidence on impact and rebound. As a result, you get a more balanced stride, greater efficiency and less fatigue during extended wear.
Sole
Rubber: The rubber outsole provides excellent grip and durability on a variety of surfaces. Thanks to its elasticity, it absorbs shock, increasing comfort when walking or running.
