TechnologyQuick lacing systemQuick lacing system(Quick Lace System) An alternative to conventional laces, based on the principle of a sliding slider (brake). This system uses high-strength, thin Kevlar or nylon cables that pass through eyelets with reduced friction. The main benefit is the ability to evenly pull down the entire upper of the shoe in one smooth motion, ensuring precise and secure foot fixation. The mechanism eliminates the risk of the laces coming undone during activity and allows the operational adjustment of the tightness of the shoe even when wearing gloves or in difficult terrain conditions. / KEEN.DRY WaterproofKEEN.DRY WaterproofKEEN.DRY Waterproof is a patented microporous membrane by KEEN that guarantees 100% waterproofing and high breathability of the footwear. It acts as a reliable shield: it prevents moisture from rain, puddles, or wet grass from entering, while allowing sweat molecules to escape from the shoe. This keeps your feet dry and comfortable even during demanding hikes.
UpperLeatherLeatherNatural leather is a traditional material resulting from the tanning process of animal hides and skins, which occupies a key position in the footwear and haberdashery industry due to its mechanical resistance, breathability and aesthetic value. The specific reticular structure of the collagen fibres allows the material to adapt to the user's anatomy, resulting in optimum wearing comfort. As a hygroscopic material, the leather naturally regulates moisture and ensures air circulation. The appearance and functional properties, such as the degree of water repellency or texture, are defined by the specific type of technological processing, which include smooth finishes, suede or nubuck. / TextileTextileThe textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support. / Waterproof TechWaterproof TechAn umbrella term for technologies that make footwear completely impermeable to water while maintaining the material's ability to "breathe". The basis is usually a microporous membrane (e.g. Gore-Tex® or eVent®), which has openings smaller than a drop of water but larger than a molecule of water vapour. As a result, water from outside cannot penetrate in, while sweat and moisture can escape out. These technologies often also include taped seams and a water-repellent treatment on the upper (DWR), ensuring that feet stay dry and warm even when moving for long periods in rain, snow or wet terrain.
SoleRubberRubberThe rubber sole is a traditional and highly reliable element in the construction of footwear, valued especially for its extreme mechanical resistance and grip. This contact layer is made of natural or synthetic rubber, which is characterized by its high density and elasticity. Due to its physical properties, it provides excellent traction on a wide range of surfaces, from smooth asphalt to unpaved terrain. In addition, the rubber is naturally waterproof and resistant to temperature fluctuations, ensuring stability and a secure stride in a variety of climatic conditions.

FeatureWaterproofWaterproofWater-Resistance defines the ability of the material sandwich or upper construction to withstand water penetration under moderate hydrostatic pressure for a specified time interval. Unlike fully waterproof membrane systems, it relies on a high density of fiber bonding combined with surface impregnation, mechanical barriers, and a dense weaving structure. This configuration effectively eliminates surface capillary water absorption while maintaining a high moisture permeability factor (low RET value). In both footwear and apparel segments, it serves to protect against moisture from dynamic movement, light snow, and moderate precipitation without increasing thermal discomfort. / ImpermeabileImpermeabileWaterproofness as a construction feature defines the ability of footwear or clothing to completely prevent the penetration of liquid water, even when exposed to continuous hydrostatic pressure (typically defined by a water column value of 10,000 mm or higher). This standard is achieved by integrating a microporous or non-porous membrane layer in combination with sealed or welded seams and water-repellent zippers or gusseted tongues in footwear. The resulting construction hermetically seals the internal space from external liquids without compromising the essential breathability needed for moisture evaporation.
