Mizuno Rebellion
Elite speed and Japanese engineering
The Mizuno Rebellion category represents the technological pinnacle in the Footshop range, focused on maximum speed, dynamics and efficiency in the running stride. This series was designed for ambitious runners looking for an uncompromising tool for breaking personal bests on asphalt, from five-kilometer runs to marathon distances. The cornerstone of this running series is Mizuno' s revolutionary fiberglass-reinforced Wave plate, which, unlike traditional carbon plates, offers a balance between extreme stiffness and the flexibility needed. This technology acts as a mechanical springboard that accumulates energy with each pedal stroke and then transforms it into a lightning-fast transition to the rebound phase. Combined with a unique sole geometry that promotes a natural tread through the midfoot, the Rebellion series minimizes energy loss and maximizes fluidity of motion even at very high tempos. The midsole is composed of Mizuno's cutting-edge Enerzy Lite material, an ultra-lightweight, high-density foam that provides precise cushioning without adding unnecessary weight to the shoe.
Anatomical fixation and traction for uncompromising pace
The upper of the shoe is the definition of functional minimalism and uses ultra-thin technical mesh to ensure 100% breathability and effective moisture wicking even during the most intense training or racing in hot summer weather. The internal reinforcement system ensures that the shoe fits snugly around the foot, providing stability at critical moments without restricting its natural biomechanical movement. An important feature for runners who require stability in all weather conditions is the G3 technology outsole, which guarantees perfect grip on wet and dry asphalt thanks to its specific high-traction pattern. This technology not only enhances safety during abrupt changes of direction or cornering, but also contributes to the overall agility of the shoe thanks to its low weight. At Footshop, we see the Mizuno Rebellion as an obvious choice for runners who appreciate Japanese precision and want to benefit from decades of research into the biomechanics of human movement. If you're looking for a running shoe that redefines the feeling of lightness and offers an aggressive response in every meter of the race, the Rebellion line is the epitome of modern racing, taking you to the next level of performance without having to compromise stability or comfort.
Materials
Textile: The textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support.
Syntetika: The synthetic upper is made of synthetic materials that are lightweight, durable and easy to clean. It provides good protection against moisture and at the same time allows for a comfortable wearing experience.
MIZUNO ENERZY: MIZUNO ENERZY technology is placed throughout the midsole and provides amazing cushioning and energy return.
MIZUNO WAVE: Mechanical midsole technology that effectively solves the basic running dilemma: how to combine high levels of cushioning with the necessary stability. While most manufacturers rely solely on foam materials, Mizuno uses a wave plate that disperses the impact energy of the pedal into the entire sole area. This construction acts as an elastic spring that absorbs shock and aids dynamic forward transition on rebound. In addition, thanks to its mechanical principle, the plate helps maintain the structural integrity of the shoe and the stability of the foot throughout the life of the shoe. Wave technology comes in a variety of shapes to provide either neutral stride guidance or targeted pronation support.
SMOOTH SPEED ASSIST: Innovative technology and features, designed through extensive research and co-development within the company, focus on optimizing running efficiency and reducing the strain on the athlete's body. A key element of this technology is the cut-out heel section, which promotes a natural forefoot and midfoot strike, inspired by the stride pattern in short distance races. It represents a significant step forward in running shoe design.
Smooth ride: It is Mizuno's engineering approach to minimize rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during all phases of the running stride. This technology creates a smooth transition from heel impact to toe-off, eliminating unpleasant shocks and vibrations. Thanks to the specific midsole curvature and flexible grooves, movement in the shoe feels like a rocking chair - smooth, efficient and with minimal energy expenditure. The result is a feeling of maximum lightness and harmony with every mile.
Rubber: The rubber sole is a traditional and highly reliable element in the construction of footwear, valued especially for its extreme mechanical resistance and grip. This contact layer is made of natural or synthetic rubber, which is characterized by its high density and elasticity. Due to its physical properties, it provides excellent traction on a wide range of surfaces, from smooth asphalt to unpaved terrain. In addition, the rubber is naturally waterproof and resistant to temperature fluctuations, ensuring stability and a secure stride in a variety of climatic conditions.
G3 sole: The G3 outsole is an example of the innovative approaches shoe manufacturers are taking to meet the needs of runners and ensure safety, comfort and performance. It is designed to improve traction, especially in wet conditions, and reduce the load on the foot during movement.
Details
More than 100 years of one of the most enduring brands in the history of the footwear industry can now finally be purchased in sneaker form at Footshop. But Mizuno didn't just make shoes from the start. This legend was born in Osaka, Japan, in 1906 when brothers Rihachi and Rizo founded Mizuno Brothers, which initially focused on baseball apparel. The older Rihachi brother was fascinated by the American sport and decided to use his new brand to promote it throughout Japan.
Today, of course, Mizuno is no longer just about baseball. It's penetrating different sports - especially running, but also cultures and subcultures outside of it. If you're into the Japanese aesthetic of clean shapes, colour combinations that always hit the spot for some reason, and retro perfected to perfection, then you've come to the right place.
At Footshop, you'll find both men's and women's Mizuno sneakers, especially in low-top options. A lot of them can become your essential companion for every running workout, but give them a try with your everyday outfit. Then you'll see the magic.
