The Hoka Mafate is one of Hoka's most stable and technologically advanced trail shoes. The Mafate 3 / Mafate Origins is a sturdier, more stable option aimed at long technical runs, ultra-trails and terrains where maximum foot protection is required. All models use a breathable, durable upper and a soft foam midsole that does an excellent job of absorbing impact even on hard mountain ground.

They work best on rocks, roots, mud, mountain gravel and other technical surfaces where their aggressive traction and stable platform really come into their own. With normal trail use, you can expect a lifespan of around 600-900 miles, depending on how heavy the terrain you're running.
