Size guides UGG

How to choose the right size?

Don't even try to measure your insole, you'll never get it right. Just look at the measurements on any of your sneakers in CM or CHN. Then take that information and find the corresponding US size in the size guide. For example, the insole length of 25 CM corresponds to US 7 in Vans. You may get a different US size with a different brand due to slightly different measuring.

UGG

UGG Boots. A dirty word for some, the best winter boots in the world for others. The UGG brand has literally divided the world into two camps. How did they do it? In 1978 in California, Australian Brian Smith noticed that surfers were putting on their surf boots right after getting out of the water to warm up from the icy ocean. One day he discovered that it might actually make a good (not just) winter shoe if made from merino wool. In fact, sheepskin and wool were commonly used in Australia to make boots because of their thermal insulation properties - cooling in the summer, warming in the winter, and absorbing odors and moisture. So Brian used his knowledge from his homeland; he discovered that no one in the world made such shoes, and he set to work. UGG Boots became very popular. But their biggest boom came when Oprah Winfrey included them in her list of favorite things, and suddenly, the whole world had to have them, including stars like Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Gigi Hadid. UGG doesn't make just boots nowadays, but also slippers, sandals, and the brand has wandered into the apparel waters. They try to make their collections creative, trendy, focusing on quality workmanship and the right choice of materials. So if you're not a fan of the boots, you still might want to check out other pieces for your collection. It's also worth mentioning that UGG produces its boot and apparel collections with respect for its employees and our planet. In 2016, the brand also joined the United Nations Global Compact, ranking as one of the largest corporate sustainability initiatives in the world. What does this mean? All members strive to promote changes in the business to minimize the environmental impact of production. This is something we are a fan of, and we are delighted to have another brand at Footshop for which sustainability and environmentalism is not just a buzzword.
