It all began in 1978, when Paul Van Doren wanted to create a similar model to the iconic #36, known today as Vans Old Skool. His goal was to design a functional and high-top shoe that will suit all skateboarders and that will provide a whole new point of view. He succeeded and introduced a new model #38, known as Vans Sk8-Hi, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year! Of course he didn´t forget the legendary sidestripe. Celebrate with us and we´ll leave it to you to pick your style.
Upper - Suede - leather cut from the back, while the fibers remain on the surface, suede is less prone to damage than nubuck.
Midsole - Rubber - a material that is very easy to maintain and you will appreciate it especially in rainy weather.
Sole - Wafer - The legendary sole that will never lose touch with the surface. It is especially typical for Vans sneakers.
