Brooks is a renowned brand specializing in running shoes, with a history dating back to 1914. Founded by John Brooks Goldenburg, the brand initially focused on ballet slippers and bathing shoes. Over time, Brooks expanded into making baseball cleats (worn by legends like Mickey Mantle!) and roller skates, before entering the running shoe market in the early 1970s.
With a global presence, Brooks has its headquarters in Seattle, situated along the Burke-Gilman running and biking trail by Lake Union. The brand also operates a flagship retail store, Brooks Trailhead. Brooks gear is trusted by runners in over 50 countries, with a second home in Amsterdam.
Brooks designs its equipment in the lab, but brings it to life with a human touch. Their world-leading researchers study physiology and biomechanics to ensure every stride is as comfortable as possible in their gear.
